Go e-Congress
The US Go Congress starts in a few days, online-only again this year. You can register at gocongress.org/2021/. I look forward to playing in the e-Go Open tournament (you can find me as ‘smartgo’ on OGS if you want to see me mess up perfectly good positions).
Featured Books
We’ve added three books to Go Books recently: two classics by Naoki Miyamoto 9 dan, and an analysis of the seven-game match between Shin Jinseo and Park Junghwan.
You can read a free chapter of each book to see whether the book might be for you, either in the app, or by downloading an EPUB sample. Please see the complete list of over 150 books at: https://gobooks.com
Yuan Zhou on AlphaGo
If you play in the e-Congress, or anywhere else for that matter, you’re sure to encounter moves and strategies inspired by AlphaGo. Yuan Zhou has a number of books that will help you understand those plays and either counter them or use them in your own games. See the Yuan Zhou on AlphaGo series of books.
