Trouble Master 2
The second volume of Trouble Master by Inseong Hwang is now available in Go Books: another 20 full-board positions filled with tesuji and life-and-death problems. Like in your own games, nobody is telling you where on the board there’s trouble. It’s fun to find the trouble spots, and it will help you develop your ability to detect problematic areas in your own games.
The digital version is available at gobooks.com as well as in-app in Go Books and SmartGo One, and the printed book is available from Amazon.
Tags
The newest version of SmartGo One adds tags to all the books, making it easier to find the next book to read (which can be hard with 160 available books). The tags are also shown at gobooks.com. More about the tags in this blog post: smartgo.blog/2024/03/04/tags-in-go-books/.
Featured books
One of the possible tags is ‘post-ai’: books that are influenced by what we’ve learned after AlphaGo. A number of books fall into that category.
You can read a free chapter of each book to see whether the book might be for you, either in the app, or by downloading an EPUB sample. Please see the complete list of 160 books at: https://gobooks.com
Improved markup in SmartGo One
The just-released version of SmartGo One improves your ability to annotate positions: you can now add lines and arrows as well as arbitrary text labels. To access these new features, tap on Markup in the tools popup, then tap and hold on one of the markup icons. This will give you a popup menu with a number of additional markups.
