Book Updates

The ability to update books is a big advantage of digital books. Most updates just fix minor typos, but some updates are major, like when Thomas Redecker added 300 problems to his Workbook. Recently, Richard Bozulich updated 38 Basic Josekis to reduce usage of Japanese terms and make the book more readable for everybody. If you already own the book, take this opportunity to read it again; if not, please check it out – even with the influence of AlphaGo, the basic josekis discussed here are still very relevant for amateur play.

Featured Books

Go Books now includes 125 books, with more in preparation. Here’s the book mentioned above and two recently added books.

Completing a Series

The Go Books app for iOS was recently updated to show books in a series in the proper order (when you sort by publisher or author). In the Store tab, a subtle checkmark indicates books you already own, making it easier to complete a series.
