SmartGo One in German and Japanese
I just added German and Japanese localizations to SmartGo One; more languages are in the works. If you or somebody you know would be interested and qualified in translating it to French or Korean, please let me know.
I enjoyed meeting many happy Go Books readers at the US Go Congress in Estes Park, Colorado. However, there still seem to be many Android users who don’t realize the books are available to them as EPUB; if you have friends on Android, please tell them about it.
Featured Books
Time to study some problem books, for opening, tsumego, and endgame.
You can read a free chapter of each book to see whether the book might be for you, either in the app, or by downloading an EPUB sample. Please see the complete list of over 150 books at: https://gobooks.com
Invincible
In the keynote address at the Go Congress I mentioned converting “Invincible” to the Go Books format. It was not a simple conversion, as e.g. a figure for moves 51-100 in the printed book might be split into five figures in the digital version, with the text for the relevant moves attached to the corresponding diagram. The addition of inline diagrams also made the digital version much easier to read, but added another level of complexity. Happily, I can announce that the costly investment in converting that book has finally paid off, and that book is now in the black.
